witchbladeMy body really feels so sore after that drinking session + swimming into the pool with a melting ice temperature. I guess me and my cousin were really so insane to swim in this month when the pool's water has a very cold temperature and not just for minutes but for hours! XD I hope I can really make it tomorrow *sigh*
Anyway, I've watched some clips from NTV Best Artist. This year's Best Artist was kinda disappointing T____T
EXILE never failed to pull out some surprise as their latest album debuted at number 1 spot with first day sales of 213K. Yeah that's right, 213K for first day. It is the 2nd highest first day sales for this year. (The first was Mr.Children's HOME album) (But anyway, this is not counted for 2007 Oricon year, as this week is 2008 Oricon year's first week of charts) Sugoi ne???? Omedetou!!!! I haven't listened to the album as I am waiting for my own copy to arrive. I hope that it will arrive on Friday. I guess this the great compensation of what happened to NTV Best Artists.
I've read on some news that BoA will quit showbiz for quite some time. I guess she really needs some break as she is becoming burned out with her 7 years of doing same things. She already reached her limit for it. Good Luck for her and I hope when she comes back she'll release some kick ass songs.
T___T I hope my cousin won't show up this midnight and ask about another round of some drinks.. Waaahh let me rest for tonight...
P.S. It was just me who gave a semi-failure rating to Clazziquai's new remix album. But this is just what I honestly feel about it. Hahaha It will really take a lot of time before that one will grow on me.
Anyway, I've watched some clips from NTV Best Artist. This year's Best Artist was kinda disappointing T____T
I actually skipped some performances that I really don't like or don't interest me a bit so yeah this review is just the ones, I really watched.
The first performance was started by Orange Range with their Ikenai Taiyou perf. I felt that it has been long since I've seen them on TV. aiko's perf was next and lol I skipped it. Then V6's Way of Life, which I find kinda good as I felt it was live performance than a lipsynch :D Yappari, Okacchi is really so gorgeous *O*. Hikki also performed in this show but she didn't appear in the talk part.
(from this point, I'll just mention some performances that are notable for me)
ARASHI and KAT-TUN shared the stage for their talk. Of course, this event started the huge fangirls galore. And also this part created a "problem" within the show (in which I will explain later as my entry goes on)

ARASHI x KAT-TUN stage LOL Jin is another victim of "how many birds were killed to produce your outfit" theme

There were something off with both of the performances as the sound system of the show were starting to malfunction. Then the next performers who were called were Otsuka Ai and EXILE. I just noticed how short Matsu is as he was just on the same height as Ai and notice how really tall my husband is. XD Before their performances, there were some "spoof" perfs (LOL sorry I don't know there names)

Now this is where the big problem for NTV began when EXILE started to perform. During their performance, Atsushi's mic had a problem and there were no sound feedback coming from him. So it was just literally who Takahiro sing during their perf. Atsushi looked quite pissed off but still he continued to perform even if he kinda screamed a bit. But despite for the overall poor performance due to the malfunction of the sounds, it was a great event where Takahiro redeemed himself after his great NTV Best Artist flop last year...

After some perfs, ayaka came up to the stage with Sukima Switch. The hosts greeted ayaka for her 19th birthday. LOL yeah this reminded me again that: "ah, ayaka is younger than me!" ayaka sang Jewelry Days for this performance.

Some notable performances and events:
- Got to commend JE boys for all the live performances in this show. Well for me basically, I like artist who can honestly sing live even if it is not good but as long as it is live. I'd rather have an honest live but flop performance singer than those who are lipsynching. I really hate performances that are in lipsycnh as I am a die hard live performance addict.
- Skipped out Morning Musume / Ayu / Otsuka Ai / Kumi / KinKi Kids / Kuwata Keisuke / B'z performances (as for other artists aside from MM and Ayu, it's not that I hate them but I am just bored with their songs plus I'm really so tired and want to finish the whole show as soon as possible. Don't ask about MM and Ayu as my answer will be that I simply don't like them)
- LOL it's so cute that ayaka and Kumi shared the stage for some talk ^^
- For God's sake, let Izumi Sakai rest in peace! Stop using her death for promotions! Isn't it very rude that after she died, there are a lot of promotions left and right for ZARD? One tribute is already enough for her. Let her soul rest in peace.
- NTV Best Artists this year is kinda a poor music special. If they are holding a show outside of the studio, they should have checked the equipments first. Although they have said their public apology for EXILE through the TV show and their website, still the damage was already done ^^;; So I guess this year will be a lesson for them. Also there were some uncoordinated events (although this has been cut off already in the record) So yeah some live shows can't be that well polished ^^
